Inventing a Spice tour on bike

We went on a lush and green discovery tour in the Spice Farm area to find new real adventures to offer our guests and friends. What a day! Living here we have seen the most but this area is stunning!  We took our bikes on the local bus, dala dala, and reached Kianga from where we continued to the Spice Farm.

This Spice Farm, Abeid Spice Farm,  is the pioneering Spice Farm and it kept its authenticity. They have another farm where they grow more vegetables and fruit for guests to eat the food from the area.  After a luscious lunch we started the journey ( mostly downhill thanks) back to Stone Town passing through a rainforest like area. Only us and the monkeys around. We had to duck for the bush and we had a annoyingly fun trouble having our gift, a huge jackfruit, to stay on the rack of the bike.

The difference with a Spice tour on bike rather than off bike is that you can cover the whole spice farm area and the life around and enjoy amazing scenery, get the smell and the sound. I tis not cumbersome at all and everyone can do it, even kids.

If you want a bike tour all around Zanzibar discovering the heart of tone Town and the soul of the villages take a look at Bike Zanzibar
